How to Enroll
Platform: Paylocity (https://access.paylocity.com): Navigate to HR & Payroll > BSwift Benefits
Each year, typically in November, you'll have the opportunity to enroll in or make changes to your benefits for the upcoming plan year (January 1: December 31). FSA elections do not automatically roll over: you must re-enroll each year.
Eligible dependents
Who you can add to your coverage.
Spouse or Partner
Your legal spouse or same-sex and opposite-sex domestic partner. Note: benefits provided to domestic partners are generally taxable and deducted on an after-tax basis.
Dependent Children
Your dependent children up to age 26. Children include: biological and adopted children (including those placed in your home for adoption), stepchildren and domestic partner's children, children for whom you are responsible to provide health coverage under a qualified medical child support order, and your child of any age if solely dependent upon you for support and maintenance because of physical or mental disability. Coverage automatically terminates on the last day of the month an enrolled child turns 26 (unless disabled).
Qualifying life events
Certain life changes let you update your benefits outside of Open Enrollment.
Events that qualify
- A change in marital status, including marriage, death of a spouse, divorce, annulment, or legal separation
- A change in your domestic partnership status, including establishment or termination of the partnership
- A change in the number of your eligible children, including by birth, adoption, placement for adoption, or death
- You or your dependent satisfying or ceasing to satisfy an eligibility requirement for coverage
How to request a change
You must request an election change via the Paylocity system within 30 days of the status change. Documentation (e.g., marriage license, birth certificate) required to verify new dependents within 30 days.
